Chemical equation balancer
Finds the smallest positive whole-number coefficients for a uniquely balanceable reaction using exact atom conservation.
Separate neutral formulas with + and use exactly one arrow: ->, =>, →, ⇌ or =. Do not enter coefficients.

Model, scope and limitations
The model balances integer atom counts for neutral formulas only. It does not evaluate feasibility, thermodynamics, kinetics, mechanism or safety.
Ionic charges, electrons, redox half-reactions, oxidation states and phase labels are rejected explicitly.
The stoichiometric matrix uses positive reactant columns and negative product columns. Its one-dimensional nullspace is solved with exact BigInt rational arithmetic and normalized to a primitive positive integer vector.
Underdetermined equations with multiple independent balances and equations without a positive solution using every listed species are not resolved arbitrarily.
Element symbols and formula grammar come from the shared audited parser; atomic masses do not affect coefficients.
